The Winston Alpha + 5 weight is a half wells grip with a nice nickel reel seat. This is your rod for throwing large dry flies and stone fly nymphs. You will find this rod to be a go to for the freestone rivers of Southwest Montana. The Winston Alpha + is made in Twin Bridges, Montana and only 17 miles away from our fly shop. We have tested this rod on the Big Hole and Beaverhead Rivers. You will find the Alpha fish in the run with this Winston Rod. The power it has from boron infused graphite makes this rod light weight and responsive.
